Innocence

I have been trying to understand 'Color Management" for some time now. It still confuses me. You will know what I mean if you open this image in photoshop and look at the colors. Its totally different(its good). But on the web.. its way too bland.
Here's what I did. Since web browsers don't understand embedded color profile, while opening the JPEG file in photoshop cs2, I set the 'don't color manage' option. This doesn't seem to help at all.
I tried converting the color profile to sRGB as many on the net suggest this profile for web use, but that too fails to display the color I see in photoshop. Do you do anything with color profiles before you post?
