(Canon 350D) Played with curves in Gimp to get the right colors. Somethings definitely wrong here. When I open it in Gimp the image is horizontally oriented. The same image here has a different orientation.

Never heard of gimp. You should be able to simply rotate it though. Whatever the case, the photo is great. Excellent composition on this one mate. Well done.
